What you should wear on your fishing trip, depends on the type of trip you're going on and, of course, the weather.
Fishing from a boat
If you're fishing from a boat, it's always a good idea to have the following:
- Breathable sun-protective clothes
- A windbreaker or raincoat
- Non-skid footwear
- A face mask ("bluff")
We suggest bringing clothes that you don't mind getting dirty. If you're fishing in colder weather, don't forget to layer up.
Fishing from shore
If you're going fishing with an on-foot guide, you should pack the following:
- Waterproof pants and a raincoat
- A baselayer t-shirt
- Hiking-style boots
- Waders and wader boots (if you plan on entering the water)
Again, if you're going fishing in colder weather, make sure to bring along a warm middle layer, such as a fleece, and long underwear.
