What is FishingBooker's cancellation policy?

When a booking is canceled, FishingBooker makes no money. The deposit taken at the time of booking will be transferred to either the captain or customer, depending on who initiated the cancellation and when it took place.

    When Customers Cancel

When a customer requests to cancel their trip, their request will be processed according to a captain's cancellation policy.

The cancellation policy is visible on a charter listing page. To view this information, scroll down to the Policies section of the page.

If the customer breaches the captain's cancellation policy, the captain will receive the funds they paid online on FishingBooker. This does not apply to cases of bad weather or extenuating circumstances, when customers are eligible for a full refund.

    When Captains Cancel

The customer will always get a refund in the event that a captain cancels the trip. If we consider the cancellation to be avoidable – for example in cases of double-bookings – the captain's listing will also be penalized with a drop in the search rankings, among others.

    Bad Weather

As safety on board is of the utmost priority, cancellations due to bad weather are 100% penalty-free.

    Mechanical Issues

Captains have a duty sure to inform FishingBooker whenever they experience a mechanical issue. Having to cancel or decline a booking due to a mechanical issue will be 100% penalty-free if reported to FishingBooker in due time.
